FAQs
-
Assisted stretch therapy is one-on-one flexibility training where I guide you safely through targeted stretches. Instead of trying to push yourself on your own, I use techniques like PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) and fascia release to help you increase range of motion, reduce stiffness, and improve mobility.
-
Clients come for different reasons, but most experience better flexibility, faster recovery after workouts, reduced muscle tension, improved posture, and stronger athletic performance. Many also leave sessions feeling more relaxed, both physically and mentally.
-
Yes. Every session is customized to your comfort level. I’ll never push you past your limits, and if you have injuries or health concerns, I can modify techniques to keep you safe. You might feel mild soreness the next day, like after a workout, but you should never feel pain.
-
Assisted stretch therapy is great for athletes, desk workers, older adults, and anyone dealing with tightness, limited mobility, or stress. If you want to move better, recover faster, or simply feel less stiff, it can help.
-
In your first session, we’ll start with a quick consultation about your health, mobility, and goals. Then I’ll guide you through safe, targeted stretches designed specifically for your body. I explain techniques as we go and give you aftercare tips so you get the most out of each visit.
-
It depends on your goals. Many clients come weekly or every other week for lasting improvements in flexibility and mobility. If you’re focused on recovery or injury prevention, we’ll build a personalized plan that works for you.
-
Wear comfortable, flexible workout clothes—like shorts, leggings, or a t-shirt. The more freedom you have to move, the more effective and safe your stretches will be.
-
In many cases, yes. I can adapt techniques to keep sessions safe and comfortable, but I always recommend consulting your doctor first before starting. With medical clearance, we can focus on improving mobility while protecting your recovery.
-
Pregnancy requires a different approach to stretching, so I don’t work with pregnant clients. A prenatal-trained practitioner will be the safest and most supportive option for you.
-
With yoga, you’re holding poses and combining them with balance and breathing. With regular stretching, you’re relying on your own flexibility. In assisted stretch therapy, I guide and support you the whole time, using proven techniques to take you deeper into safe stretches than you could reach alone.
-
No warm-up is needed. I ease your body into stretches gradually, so your muscles and joints are ready as the session builds.
-
Some clients feel mild soreness the next day, like after a good workout. That’s normal and shows your muscles have been engaged in new ways. Any discomfort is temporary and usually goes away as your body adapts.
-
Definitely. Athletes use assisted stretch therapy to increase range of motion, recover faster, and reduce injury risk. Better mobility can translate to stronger, more efficient movements whether you’re running, lifting, golfing, or training in martial arts.
-
Yes. A lot of back pain and poor posture comes from tight hips, shoulders, and spine. Stretching those areas helps relieve tension and restore balance. Many clients notice less stiffness and better posture after consistent sessions.
-
Not at all. Assisted stretch therapy is designed for every level—from people who feel very tight to advanced athletes. I meet you where you are and help you progress safely.
-
Many people feel lighter and more flexible after just one session. For lasting changes—like improved posture, mobility, and reduced injury risk—regular weekly or bi-weekly sessions make the biggest difference.
-
Massage works by releasing tension in soft tissue. Assisted stretch therapy focuses on actively lengthening muscles and improving joint mobility. A lot of clients find that combining the two gives them the best recovery and performance.
-
Absolutely. I work with seniors who want to stay independent, maintain balance, and move without pain. Sessions are always adapted to individual needs and comfort.
